Nobokontho24: Tigers’ ODI captain Tamim Iqbal said goodbye to international T20 cricket.

The country’s best batsman announced this decision on his verified Facebook page after whitewashing West Indies in the ODI on Sunday night at Bangladesh time.

Tamim wrote on Facebook, “Consider me retired from T20 Internationals from today. Thank you all.”

After 2020, the opener of the country did not play any international T20. Since he withdrew his name from the T20 series many times. Tamim decided not to play in the last T20 World Cup as he was out of the field for a long time due to injury.

During the BPL in January 2022, Tamim told the media that he will be away from international T20 for six months. However, there have been several whispers in between and Tamim also said a month ago that the board was well aware of his decision. The highest run-scorer in Bangladesh jersey in international cricket is not willing to talk about this.
