The full time ended with 2-2 draw while the extra time ended 3-3 draw and the winner decided in the penalty shot.

Argentina led France 2-0 at halftime after Lionel Messi netted his sixth goal of the tournament and Angel Di Maria doubled the advantage from a thrilling counter-attack.

In the added time Messi scored goal to lead Argentina 3-2 again but Mbappe level the score once again through a penalty shot and the champions decided in the penalty shot.
