Gold prices reach record high

Nobokontho24, Barishal: Jewellers in Bangladesh have increased gold prices to a record high. The gold price of 22 carat (good quality) increased by 3,032 taka to 87,246 taka.

 

 

This decision was taken at the meeting of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Saturday. This information was informed in a press release signed by MA Hannan Azad, chairman of the Standing Committee on Price Determination and Price Monitoring of the organization.

 

 

It is mentioned in the circular that gold of 22 carat will be sold at Tk 87, 246 per bhori with an increase of 3,032 taka while 21 carat gold price increased by Tk 3,383 to Tk 83,747, 18 carat gold price increased by Tk 2,449 to Tk 71,383 taka and traditional gold price increased by Tk 2,799 to Tk 59,486.

 

 

The new prices take effect from Sunday, according to a press release issued by Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association on Saturday.

 

 

The press release also mentioned that there silver prices remain unchanged. The price of 22 carat silver is Tk 1,516 while 21 carat silver remains unchanged at Tk 1,435, 18 carat silver at Tk 1,225 and traditional silver at Tk 933.
