Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that there was no reserve when BNP was in power. They had eaten up the reserves. BNP has swallowed the economy of this country, it has swallowed the spirit and ideals of the liberation war. If BNP returns to power again then they will swallow the whole country too.

He said, “Beware of dogs” is written in front of the rich people’s house. We are saying, beware of BNP.

Obaidul Quader said these while addressing the tri-annual conference of Dhaka District Awami League at the old trade fair grounds in Sherbangla Nagar, Agargaon of the capital on Saturday afternoon.

He said, if BNP comes to power, they would steal votes, ruin democracy and kill people again. People are not with BNP. As much as you dance, jump, money comes from Dubai. We have come to know. If Awami League is united, no matter how much they shout, how many rallies they hold, no one can defeat a united Awami League. United Awami League will win.

Comparing their council with BNP’s rally in Rangpur, Quader urged BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul to see how many people turned out at the district council even without the presence of Sheikh Hasina.

“Most activists who attended the BNP rally passed their time under the open sky as they arrived two-three days ago. But Mirza Fakhrul was living it up on a bed of money. The more programmes he can arrange, the more money he can make. Money is coming from Dubai,” he said.

He said 10 lakh people will turn out at the AL rally in Chattogram to be held on December 4 where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend.

The AL general secretary said, “There would be a game. This is the game of movement. It would be played during the election. The game will be played against vote fraud, corruption, and those who play with the fortune of the people.” He said there will be the game of people but not money.

Awami League General Secretary said that Bangladesh’s most efficient administrator is Sheikh Hasina. The name of the most successful diplomat is Sheikh Hasina. The name of the most courageous leader is Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina is our crisis manager.

He said caretaker government will not return. The High Court threw it out. We didn’t throw away. When the time comes, go to the polls.  Pointing at the leadership of BNP, Quader further said, “Who is your leader? Who went to London after signing the bond? He (Tarique Rahman) gives direction to Fakhrul Saheb from London.”
