Nobokontho, Barishal:: Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) has announced to reduce the price of gold in the country’s market. With their latest announcement, the good quality gold has been reduced by Tk 1,983 per bhori.

 

 

This information was informed in a press release signed by MA Hannan Azad, chairman of the BAJUS Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee, on Monday (April 10).

 

 

It has been said that the new price of good quality gold has been fixed at Tk 97,161 by reducing Tk 1,983 per bhori. Until now, The price was Tk 99,144.

 

 

According to the new prices, the price of best quality gold or 22-carat (11.664 grams) of gold has been reduced by Tk 1,983 and fixed at Tk 97,161 per bhori. The price of 21-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1,924 to Tk 92,729 per bhori, the price of 18-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1,633 to Tk 79,490 per bhori and the traditional gold price has been reduced by Tk 1,341 to Tk 66,252 per bhori.

 

 

The price of gold has been reduced, however, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, the price of 22-carat silver has been fixed at Tk 1,715 per bhori, the price of 21-carat silver has been fixed at Tk 1,633 per bhori, the price of 18-carat silver has been fixed at Tk 1,400 per bhori and the price of traditional silver has remained unchanged at Tk 1,050 per bhori.

 

 

Earlier, on April 1, the price of gold reached a record high. The price of good quality gold was increased by Tk 1,516 per bhori and fixed at Tk 99,144. Gold was traded at that price till today, Monday (April 10).

 

 

Today, 22-carat gold was sold at Tk 99,144 per bhori, 21-carat gold was sold at 94,653 per bhori, 18-carat gold was sold at 81,123 per bhori, and traditional gold was sold at Tk 67,593.
