Nobokontho24, Barishal : Five people have died, in the last 24 hours, due to dengue fever in the country while 788 people were hospitalized after suffering from the Aedes-mosquito-borne disease. With the latest figure, the death toll by dengue has climbed to 167 and soared the overall caseload to 3,737.
This information was given in the regular dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.

The report states that of the 788 hospitalized dengue patients in the last 24 hours, 374 people were admitted to Dhaka hospitals and 414 people were hospitalized in different hospitals outside Dhaka.
Currently, 2,254 people are admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 1,483 people are admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
From January 1 to November 5 this year, 42,199 people were hospitalized with dengue fever. Among them, 38,295 people have recovered from the disease.
